The south eastern part of Kho Phangan is the main party area including Haad Rin and the full moon party beach. Nearly all of the area surrounding Haad Rin is mountainious making most of the fantastic fine white beaches unable to reach by road, the only way to get to them is by long tail boat from Had Rin.Koh Phangan offers a lot of popular things to do one being snorkeling at most of the island bays, one beach in particular is in the northeast side in the near of Ko Maa.

There are roads to Had Rin, but we have warned you that the roads are not in the greatest state and only if you are a competitant motorbike rider then do not try to get to Had Rin, as nearly all accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorcylce at the seven eleven at BaanTai and pay about 40 Baht for a pick up over the mountains to Had Rin.
If you come during the full moon party in Haad Rin, Golden Hill Resort can organize for the necessary transportation so as to you get there safe. There are many Taxis available going back in your direction in the morning and all day long.
